Day 30

Andrew loves dressing up and he wouldn't stop talking about wanting a Bumblebee costume so we finally ordered one online last week. He has checked the mail everyday (sometimes twice a day) for his costume. He was beyond excited when it came yesterday. I took a bunch of pictures of him playing in the costume but I think this is my favorite. He is watching the Transformers show and is laying down acting like he is the Bumbleebee car. His imagination is getting bigger each day. :-)

Day 29

Yes, I admit I am hooked on the Twilight series. When I heard about the books, I thought no way I don't want to read them. A vampire? Sooooo not my kind of book. Then a friend kept going on and on about how she couldn't put it down. So, I got the first one and was immediately hooked. :-)

Day 28

"The Force is strong with this one."

Andrew loves to play Lightsaber Duels on the Wii and you know what? He kicks our butt everytime! Really. It's pretty funny and amazing. He's 4! It's so funny to watch him play because he gets sooooooo into it. When they lock their lightsabers together and push each other he grits his teeth, puts his arms out and shakes because he is working so hard. I still don't know how he manages to win us but he does and he LOVES it. Last night when he went to bed he kept saying "I'm the winner because I'm the strongest ever!"

Day 27

Andrew absolutely loves Dinosaurs. When I saw these wooden kits at Michaels I had to get them. They are pretty cool and are actually fun to put together. Our house is beginning to resemble Jurassic Park!

Day 26

We were stuck inside today so we had a mini photo shoot in honor of Valentine's Day. (Yes, it's a bit early but give me a break it didn't get over 10 degrees today!) These are my two favorite shots. Andrew is such a little model and loves posing for the camera. Sometimes he gets a litle crazy with his faces. Oh and he's loving his Mom tattoo.

Day 25

Brrr... We've had a very cold day today. Didn't get over 20 and there is beautiful frost everywhere. Yep, it's looking a bit more like January around here.

Day 24

Girls day out! My best friend Jenny and I spent the day together without the kids. We were actually able to finish conversations and got to see an R rated movie! We had a great time.

Friday, January 23, 2009

Day 23

Andrew loves reading with his new LeapFrog tag reader that Nana & Papa got him for Christmas. It's really the coolest thing. You glide the pen over the words and it says them out loud. It also does sounds effects. So, if you run the pen over a dinosaur it roars at you. What will they think of next?

Day 22

Yet another beautiful day we spent outdoors. Andrew is feeling much better too, so we could spend all day outside to take advantage of the nice weather because a storm is moving in today.

Day 21

Flip flops in January. 72 degrees in Colorado in January. Need I say more? (Oh and yes I need a pedicure desperately.)

Day 20

Here Barack Obama, our first black President, is being sworn into office. I don't know if I expected to see it in my lifetime. I am thankful I have. While I did not vote for him it is pretty amazing to watch this all unfold and to watch (as many are saying) "living history."

I tried to get Andrew involved and have him watch part of it so maybe he might remember this day when he is older but it didn't work out that way. :-) When I tried to explain to him that we are getting a new President at first he was excited and saying "Yippee" and I thought well maybe they have been talking about it in school. But then he went on to say "I love presents. Where is mine?" Let's just say a little melt down followed. He is still not feeling well so it doesn't take much to set him off.

Day 19

We are having absolutely beautiful weather right now. Unfortunately, Andrew is sick so we've spent most of the day inside resting. However, we did sneak outside for a bit to soak up the sun and chase our shadows! It's kind of hard to tell in the picture but Andrew has his Batman cape/mask on so his little bat ears are sticking up. This weather is supposed to stick around for a few more days. Hopefully Andrew will be feeling better tomorrow so we can enjoy it more.

Day 18

Today Blake replaced an area of subfloor in our basement. Here he is standing in the crawl space under the house. FUN! He had to replace the floor the tile had been on because it had quick set on it and the floor needed to be even when we put the hardwood down. Isn't he handy?

Sunday, January 18, 2009

Day 17

Andrew and his buddy Chase having some fun jumping off the couch and "flying" onto the cushions on the floor. Those boys have so much energy.

Saturday, January 17, 2009

Day 16

The construction in our basement is well on its way. Cabinets and a wall have been torn out and a new wall has been put up! Here Blake is tearing into a column to put up the new half wall. In a few weeks we will be laying hardwood and maybe painting. I say maybe because right now we have a lot of little projects in the basement and I don't know how much we'll get to. :-)

Day 15

Here I am greeting Andrew at his bedroom door this morning. I had to capture this part of our day. Are you ready? He still calls for us to come get him out of his bed in the morning. Really. He does. He's 4!! Now he is a smart boy and surely he KNOWS he can open his door on his own but he's never tried. So many parents complain about their children getting in their beds in the middle of the night or waking up to their child's face 2 inches away from their own. It's never happened to us. One day I'm sure it will but for now I am just enjoying this part of our normal morning routine and LOVE that he still needs us in the morning. :-)

Day 14

I was having some fun with photography today and shot this picture of Andrew. You can actually see my reflection in his eyes. I always say he has the most soulful eyes and, in my opinion, this photo really captures it. Some pictures just take your breath away and that is how I felt when I saw this picture. I know all parents think their kids are beautiful and I guess I'm no different. :-)

Day 13

Andrew was drawing with markers today and decided to create some art directly on his face! I was in the other room and he came running in yelling, "Mommy, yook at my face!" My mouth dropped open and he said, "Pretty cool, huh?" What a little cutie patootie.

Monday, January 12, 2009

Day 12

We had a snow day today! Andrew was extremely happy when he woke up and saw all the snow coming down. Just yesterday he was asking for it to snow (A LOT he said.) We ended up with about 6 inches. Thankfully no school day today so we were really able to enjoy it!

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Day 11

I was cleaning the house this morning and after awhile it donned on me that I hadn't heard Andrew in awhile (which is NOT normal - that boy is just noisy.) So, I started looking around for him and stumbled upon him in the front room laying on the couch with his Leapster. When I saw him it hit me that he is growing up way too fast.

Day 10

Here is a photo of Andrew and Matthew cheering Makenna on during her swim meet. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it because I was sick. Thankfully, Blake agreed to take the camera and get some photos for me. He is feeding my addiction. :0)

Day 9

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday 60 and sunn. Today 30, windy and super cold. Andrew really wanted to ride his quad so we played outside for about 30 minutes and then wussed out and came inside. I hate being cold! I thought it would be funny to see pretty much the same photo one day later and how different Andrew is dressed. Yesterday he really could have been wearing shorts!

Friday, January 9, 2009

Day 8

It was 60 degrees and VERY sunny today! I pulled out some of Andrew's ride on vehicles and let him ride them outside. If the grass had been green I could have sworn it were summer.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Day 7

It's here!! It's here!! My Project 365 kit arrived in the mail today. When I heard the UPS guy drive up I ran to the door. I swear you'd think I'd won the lottery or something. I have to say this kit is great!! I know I'm lucky to have received one.

Day 6

Silly little boy. We made sugar cookies today and while they were cooking in the oven I was busy cleaning up and Andrew says "Mommy look at my silly glasses!" Thankfully my camera was close by to capture it. (Of course it was.)

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Day 5

Here we are on our way to our weekly playgroup. Thought I'd try something a little different and get a bit creative with taking a picture. :-)

Sunday, January 4, 2009

Day 4

Here is a photo Andrew took of his much loved Bongo and Doggie. He has had Bongo for nearly 3 years and Doggie for 2 1/2 years. He sleeps with them every night. Lately he has been dragging them around the house with him and giving them hugs throughout the day. He is such a little lovebug.

Saturday, January 3, 2009

Day 3

Is it snowing yet? Andrew has been checking for snow all morning long. Nothing... lots of clouds but no snow this morning like we expected. However, I am happy to report it's snowing like crazy right now. Andrew is one happy boy.

Friday, January 2, 2009

Day 2

We spent the afternoon at a new park. Andrew was a happy camper. There were lots of kids at the park that he made friends with instantly. He was Superman and everyone kept yelling at him to save them. It was pretty darn cute.

Day 1

Playing the Wii game lightsaber duels. That game ROCKS!! Okay I'm probably just saying that because it's the only game so far that I have won Blake at, repeatedly I might add. ;-) Ya, my right shoulder is pretty sore today.

Welcome...

to yet another blog by me. :-) I guess two weren't enough so I had to create another one. Well, I do have a reason. This blog is dedicated to taking at least one photo a day all year long. Hence the 365 reference. This all goes along with the Project 365 album I am doing this year. I am bound and determined to see this album through because I think it will be so awesome to look back at at the end of the year and throughout the year for that fact. So, why not add an online component to it as well? I may not keep up with it everyday online but at least each week. It doesn't take long to upload a photo.

So, here it goes...
