Day 26 - 1/29/10

1.29.10 - When we drove in last night there was a beautiful full moon at the end our street. What is it about a full moon that just makes you stare at it in awe?

Day 25 - 1/28/10

1.28.10 - Andrew brought this artwork home from school today. I've decided I'm going to take photos of all of his artwork from this year (yes I have it all saved in a box) and create a book at the end of the year. This way I can keep his artwork forever but I don't have to have tons of boxes full of paper. I am planning on keeping a few special ones from each year though.

Day 24 - 1/27/10

1.27.10 - Andrew had a field trip to Tiny Tots Inside the Orchestra. It was a great program. Lots of fun for the kids. They played music from cartoons and Star Wars and did a great job of including the children in the show.

Day 23 - 1/26/10

1.26.10 - I spent a ton of time today on my new logo. I'm planning to complete redesign my blog and website. I never really like my current logo and really rushed into it. Which now I regret but hey starting fresh is kind of fun too. Now I know what I like and don't like.

Day 22 - 1/25/10

1.25.10 - Andrew loves to play the Wii. We are now all addicted to the basketball game on resort. Trying to see who can shoot the most 3 points shots. Andrew holds his own and beats us half the time.

Day 21 - 1/24/10

1.24.10 - I'm trying something new. Not sure how often I'll do these pictures but I'm really going to try and do a few a month. Another photographer occasionally does these Happiness is... photos and I love them! It really makes you stop and appreciate the little things in life.
So, when Andrew and I went to Sam's Club today he of course pleaded for the receipt so he could give it to the lady at the exit and said "Please can I have a smiley face?" This is nothing new, he does this everytime we go to Sams or Costco. Yet he always get so excited when they hand the receipt back to him with a smiley face. He says "Mommy, look!!" I love it. So my plan is to really pay attention to what little simple things make Andrew happy. I think we have so much to learn from our children. You think you are here to teach them but really they teach us so much more.
So today for Andrew, happiness is a smiley face from Sams club.

Day 20 - 1/23/10

1.23.10 - Today was one of those lazy Saturdays that was just random. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. These are pics from my iPhone of us at the Chevy dealer. My car went in from some little repairs. Yes that sticker says 68 thousand!! I was sitting there minding my own business when the sales person parked right next to me. ugh. Then we spotted the brand new Bumblebee. Ya, lots of excitement at the Chevy dealership on Saturday.

Day 19 - 1/22/10

1.22.10 - Candy cane heart suckers! How cute are these? I got the idea from another blog and had a ton of these mini candy canes left over from Christmas. Andrew loved them!

Day 18 - 1/21/10

1.21.10- All of our vday decorations are up! I have one more craft project planned but not sure if I'll get to it. :)

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Day 17- 1/20/10

1.20.10 - We had playgroup at our house yesterday and Chase and Nikki stayed for dinner since Blake was out of town. The boys were so proud of themselves for fixing this toy and were so cute about it I had to snap a photo. If you look closely you can even see their car speeding around on the top of the track.

Day 16 - 1/19/10

1.19.10 - Today we made Andrew a heart mobile to hang from his door just like we did for Christmas. I thought it would be a fun tradition to do this with each holiday. When I told him I wanted to take a picture of him he had to grab Bongo and Doggie because he loves them and it is for Valentine's Day after all.

Day 15 - 1/18/10

1.18.10- Spent some time today burning some energy by jumping on the bed. Yep that is how we roll around here. :-)

Monday, January 18, 2010

Day 14 - 1/17/10

1.17.10 - We went to one of Andrew's friends birthday parties today at a very fun place called Pump it Up! It has a ton of jump houses, mazes and slides. Andrew had a blast and didn't stop for the full 2 hours.

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Day 13

1.16.10 - We went bowling again today. Andrew was so excited when we told him we were going. These photos were with the iPhone again. Andrew took the one of me. :-)

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Day 12 - 1/15/10

1.15.10 - Today my sister had her scans and we are praying they are clean. I told Andrew we needed to say a prayer for Auntie because she is getting a test done. His prayer was so simple yet so important. "Please God make Auntie healthy. Amen"

Friday, January 15, 2010

Day 11- 1/14/10

1.14.10- I found a new app for my iPhone called shake it photo and it is really cool! You take a picture and then it makes a polaroid sound and you shake the phone for it to do a really cool effect to your picture. I took a few of Andrew and then he went off to play. I took the ones of him (obviously and the rest were taken by him. his Bumblebee and money jar.

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Day 10 - 1/13/10

1.13.10 - We had our weekly playgroup at the park today and apparently had a new little guy who wanted to join our group. We found this little mouse beneath our table just hanging out and munching on some popcorn. We couldn't believe he wasn't running away. He must have been hungry!

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Day 9 - 1/12/10

1.12.10 - We've started a chore chart for Andrew. Just basic things like brush teeth, comb hair, get dressed, eat breakfast, make your bed, clean up toys, set the table, etc.
He is so proud of himself when he accomplishes a task and gets to mark an X on the box to show it's been completed for the day. He never complains or says he doesn't want to do something. He is happy to help out around the house and enjoys the praise he receives for the great job he is doing.
Here is a photo of his bed that he made this morning. Is it perfect? No. Do I want to walk over there and straighten it up? You betcha. Am I going to straighten up? Not a chance. One day he'll learn to make his bed nice and tidy but until then I'm going to appreciate his untidy messy made bed because he did it all on his own. As a mom I think you need to learn to embrace the perfectly imperfect things in your life.

Day 8 - 1/11/10

1.11.10 - I had a dental appointment today and got a temporary crown. Here is to a better smile in 2010.
I can't believe I've waited so long to go to the dentist (5 years) What was I thinking??

Day 7 - 1/10/10

1.10.10- Taday we met Andrew's best buds Chase and Nikki at a park. The snow is melting and it getting warm. I love park days!!

Day 6 - 1/9/10

1.9.10- Andrew had a birthday party for one of his friends today. It was at a gym and the kids had so much fun running around and playing on all the equipment. I knew I wasn't taking my camera so I thought I'd better take a photo of the gift for our album.

Friday, January 8, 2010

Day 5 - 1/8/10

1.8.10 - Today was our first weigh in our Biggest Loser challenge. Mike was the Biggest Loser of the Week. Way to go Mike! We are off to a great start and I'm looking forward to the next week.

Blake joined the gym yesterday and took a Yoga/Pilates class with me. He did a great job! So proud of you honey! It's fun to try new things together. Here is to a healthy 2010!

Day 4 - 1/7/10

1.7.10 - Andrew got a "Dig a Dinosaur" kit in his stocking for Christmas. He has been patiently waiting to work on it and we finally pulled it out today. Let's just say it's goign to take some time to dig out all of these bones. After a couple hours of hard work we found and released one bone! LOL

Thursday, January 7, 2010

Day 3 - 1/6/10

1.6.10 - We had a crazy weather day today. It started out clear, turned foggy, snowed and then got super icy. Oh and it was unbelievably cold! It was 5 degrees at 3p.m. yikes!!!

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Day 2 - 1/5/10

1.5.10 - I love caputuring Andrew playing when he isn't aware of the camera. We played out back for a bit right before sunset and the light was amazing. We gathered all the toys off the lawn to get ready for another snowstorm. Our grass finally made an appearance today just to be covered with more snow tomorrow. That's okay... a fresh blanket of snow is always welcome.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

Day 1 - 1/4/10

1.4.10 - Today is the first day of Project Life!! Here is to another year of capturing our life one day at a time. This year I'm not going to be so worried about taking a picture everyday. Don't get me wrong I'm going to try but if I don't... oh well! I'll just add an extra photo from another day or just do our week in pictures. Lord knows I take enough pictures to cover it! I'm also going to include more photos that Andrew takes himself. I think it will be fun to get his perspective of the day.

Just about every night Andrew plays with his Lite Brite and I knew I needed to caputure this before the toy becomes old news. Although there is just something super cool about a Lite Brite. Hope he plays with it for awhile.

Day 367 (ha!)

1.3.10 - Our last photo in our Project 365!! Yeah! Andrew loves making silly faces and this time I captured some of them. I know I'm his mama but he really does have the best smile.

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Day 366?? Hmmmm

1.2.10 - Was it a leap year?? LOL Guess I'm off on my numbers. oops! I still have one more day to go too.

Today I received my Project Life album in the mail. Yippee!! Perfect timing. I'm finishing up project 365 on Sunday and will be starting this one on Monday. I can't believe I've made it through the whole year taking photos just about everyday. I may have missed about 5. So much better than I ever expected!

Day 365

1.1.10 - We kicked the New Year off by reorganizing our basement storage room. Well purging all the old things we just never use really.

Day 364

12.31.09- Happy New Year!!! Hanging out our favorite family the Wassoms. :-)

Day 363

12.30.09 - Blake got Andrew a DVD of the GI Joe cartoon and Andrew has been obsessed with it for the past few days. He loves it. I gotta tell you. I thought cartoons now were sassy and had questionable language. So did the cartoons that we watched!!
