Day 118

4.28.09 - Look how green our grass is!! Finally! It's getting more colorful around here. I think I've finally figured out why the sign welcoming you to the state says, "Welcome to Colorful Colorado!" Because everything dies out in the winter months and it makes the spring colors much more noticeable.

Day 117

4.27.09 - Andrew had his first swim lesson today. He was in swim lessons last year but after about 5 months he got scared and didn't want to do it anymore. He was VERY excited about them all day and had no problem jumping in the water and doing his lesson. Phew!

On a sidenote, we woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning. REALLY???

4.26.09 - Once again Andrew is caught hanging out in his undies! I don't know what it is boys have against pants. :-)

Day 115

4.25.09 - Andrew's first soccer game of the season!!! He had the best time ever and even scored a goal!! I'm so glad he is having fun playing a sport. I think it's so important.

4.24.09 - Today I had another session! This time with my friend Jen and her two cute little girls. This photo of Kenleigh is my favorite from the session. I think babies might be my favorite to photograph now!

4.23.09 - Today I had a session with a little girl in our playgroup, Samantha. She loves her cowboy boots and got a little sassy. :-)

4.22.09 - Happy Earth Day! Today we went to the resevoir with our playgroup friends. The kids were begging to get into the water and we finally gave in. They had a blast. Summer is going to be so much fun out there.

Day 111

4.21.09 - This afternoon we were watching a Discovery show about lions and Andrew decided to copy them and run around the living room with Bongo in his mouth. It was the cutest thing and new it had to be my photo of the day. Thank goodness my camera is always close by!

Day 110

4.20.09 - I went to the Dr. and came home to Andrew looking like this. Sitting in his undies watching a show.

Apparently they went on a walk and Andrew's pants got wet from all the melting snow so they took them off and decided to go free for the rest of the day. :-)

Day 109

4.19.09 - We made homemade animal crackers today!! Andrew received these from his Papa & Gaga for Easter and couldn't wait to make them. They came out so cute and very tasty. Thanks Papa & Gaga!

Day 108

4.18.09 - We got almost 3 feet of snow over the past 2 days. Andrew had a blast playing in the front yare while Blake cleared our front drive. Andrew and I made a garden snowman complete with flower stalks for arms. Andrew named her Sally.

4.17.09 - We got a HUGE spring snow storm today with lots and lots of wet snow. We've received about 10 inches so far and could get as much as 22 inches by Saturday. It'll melt away as fast as it came though. It's going to be in the 70's starting Monday. :-)

I took this photo of a bird in front of our house. Just hanging out in the tree while there was a break in the storm. He's so pretty up against the white.

Day 106

4.16.09 - We had a rainy day today and were stuck inside most of the day and well... we got bored. So, we made licorice glasses. :-) Don't ask me where I got the idea it just popped in my head while we were snacking away on the red vines. I know. I'm weird.

4.15.09 - This is one my favorite photos from a mini session I had with little Alex (our neighbors son.) He is so stinkin' cute and lots of fun to photograph.

4.14.09 - Gotta love little sandy feet. I love little kids feet, especially Andrew's. They are are so darn cute! Andrew loves his sand box and loves hiding his feet under the sand for me to find.

4.13.09 - Today Andrew painted a rainbow with his feet! My crafty friend Jenny gave me the idea and it was a hit. Andrew thought it was so funny to load his feet up with paint and walk on the paper to make a rainbow.

3.12.09- Happy Easter!! The Wassoms and Goodmans came over for an egg hunt and dinner. The kids had so much fun (not that you can tell it in this picture.)

4.11.09 - Today we dyed Easter eggs and decorated them with Transformer stickers. Andrew is in LOVE with Transformers. It's amazing to watch him transform them back and forth. He gives adults lessons on how to do it!

Day 100 (woo hoo!) (UPDDATE)

4.10.09 - Okay so how could I not make this our photo of the day? The bunny ears were cute but this is just priceless. Goofballs.

4.10.09 - Today Andrew had a little Spring party at preschool. All the kids were running around in their bunny ears. Check out my little Easter bunny.

Day 99

4.09.09 - Today we met some friends over at a park near us. My friend Amelia (who is crazy about photography like me) brought over her brand new camera. Wow, is that a sweet camera or what? LUCKY!! hee hee

I took this shot of Andrew spiraling down the play equipment. One of his favorite things to do at the park.

Day 98

4.8.09 - Today we took a quick trip over to a subdivision that is near the resevoir. They have a cute boat house with a small dock. Perfect place for photos! I really can't wait for the grass to be green. I know I keep saying that but I'm so over the dead yellow grass.

Day 97

4.7.09 - Okay so it's not really this date but I'm going to include this photo and another one from our photo shoot later today in my 365 album!! I can't believe I missed a day! IT was bound to happen sooner or later.

Andrew loves making sounds effects for all of his toys and I captured him in action...

Day 96

4.06.09 - We created a "Do Good" sticker chart for Andrew today. Lately he has really been pushing it and not listening to us. He also expects to get a present every time we go to Target and throws a fit if he doesn't get it. So, we wanted to teach him how he can earn toys rather than just getting them. He LOVES this chart and did a much better job of listening through out the day and helping around the house (pick up toys, put his plate in the sink, etc.) 2 stickers down only 28 to go! :-)

Day 95

4.5.09 - We had an unexpected snow storm today. It had been cold and dreary all day with a bit of snow every now and then. Then we sat down for dinner and it REALLY started to snow. I love watching the snow fall.

Day 94

4.4.09 - Today my mind has been on my best friend's little boy Chase. He is also Andrew best buddy. Her and I were at a park on Friday afternoon and another child threw a large rock from the top of a play structure and it hit Chase on the top back part of his head. We ran over to him and he had a good size compression on skull and so we rushed him to the hospital. Long story short, after a CT scan and an overnight stay in the hospital the Dr.'s say he is going to be okay. He does have a compressed skull fracture and some signs of a concussion. Thank God he has no bleeding or brain damage. The Dr.'s say it will fuse back together in 4-6 weeks but it may take a few months for him to get back to his usual self.


My friend's husband was out of town so I stayed with her at the hospital until around midnight. Today I was feeling so drained I can't imagine how she must be feeling. I'm so thankful he is okay and there will be no permanent damage. When things like this happen it really makes you stop and think about what is most important in your life. Your kids are everything to you.

Day 93

4.3.09 - Today we saw many signs of spring in our backyard including this cute little bunny searching for food. Spring is here and so are the spring snow storms. We are getting another tonight.

Day 92

4.2.09- Yummy!! Doesn't get much better than a chocolate frosted donut with rainbow sprinkles. Makes for one happy boy. This was Andrew's special treat today. :-)

4.1.09 - Another photo from lighting practice session with Andrew. He loves books so much I thought I'd get some shots of him on his bed reading.

3.31.09 - Today I did some more practice shots on Andrew playing with the window light in our house. I love shooting outside but that is not always possible and I really like the look of the lifestyle portraits of people inside their home.

3.30.09 - Today we all went to the movie Monsters vs Aliens in 3D!! It was such a cute movie and one that is definitely best to see on the big screen.
