WEEK TWO: January 9, 2011

I'm thinking about making the one frame a day album a bit more than that.  I wanted to include mulitiple pictures when I get some great shots of Andrew or if we have a special day because really this is my scrapbook now.  I no longer do a scrapbook of special occasions, etc and quite frankly I take A LOT of pictures that just sit on my hard drives.  I'm tired of not looking at them!

So occasionally I will throw in a few spreads that have their own days (Okay so this one required two spreads.)  I just loved these silly pictures of Andrew in the snow and couldn't just choose one!

WEEK ONE: January 2011

It's a New Year and a new...

way of documenting 365!  I will be doing everything completely digital this year and creating the pages as each week passes.  I've come to realize it's the only way I'll have a complete album by the end of the year and can actually hold somemething in my hands.  I'm even toying with the idea of doing the same thing with my 2010 pictures because who knows when I'll have enough time to write out the journaling for the last year.  Probably won't happen! 

This year I found some awesome/simple templates by Vol. 25 that will make it super easy.  I just love her designs!

So instead of sharing a picture a day, I will be posting my completed weekly album pages.  That will give me a bit of pressure to actually create the pages not to mention a lot less postings. :)

12.21.10 -  We went to one of Kevin's big wrestling tournaments today! So fun to watch him in action.  I'm so proud of him!

12.16.10 - Andrew had his class party this morning. It was a super fun party and the kids had a great time.

12.15.10 -  I have been super busy making snowman soup bags for Andrew's two classes.  I love the way they came out but man were they a lot of work! I got up at 3:30 this morning to finish them!

12.14.10 - Andrew sat on Santa's lap... well stood next to Santa really.. I think he's been eating too many cookies already this year as there wasn't much lap to sit on!

12.12.10 - We went sledding today and Andrew tried out his new snowmobile sled!!  We had an awesome time and are looking forward to going back up the hill again.

12.9.10 - Andrew decorated some Santa cookies this afternoon.  Okay so they aren't homemade.. but we really don't have time for that right now since he is in school.  He had fun just the same but the taste was.... uh lacking!

12.8.10 -  Today we worked on making holiday cards for Holiday Mail for Heroes project.  Andrew did a great job on his cards!

12.7.10 -  Our Christmas tree is a bit overloaded this year... i traded in our 10 foot tree for this little one but used all the same ornaments!  LOL

12.5.10 -  We woke up to our elf being rather naughty... he had decorated our family Chrstmas tree with Andrew's underwear!! Thank goodness they were clean!

12.4.10 - We took Barry to see the movie Tangled.  GREAT movie.  The horse was my favorite character.. too funny.

12.3.10 -  Andrew wrote his letter to Santa.  Asking for Ben 10 Alien Force toys, Wii game and a DS game.

12.2.10 -  Andrew dressed up Barry as a pirate tonight.  He loves playing dress up still!

12.1.10 - Andrew decorated the tree in his room this afternoon. I love pulling out all of his special ornaments.

11.29.10 - It's Andrew's turn to be the BIP (Beary Important Person) this week.  He will carry Barry around and write all of his adventures down in his journal.  So cute!

11.25.10 - Giving thanks!! We had a wonderful time with friends today, catching up and the girls even went out for a little retail therapy to kick off the holiday season.

11.22.10 - Christmas is a happy time and I'm not trying to be sad but the past few days my heart has been heavy, like it tends to be around this time of year.  It's been 7 years since we lost our first baby and while I may not have been that far along it was still a traumatic experience and one I wish I never had to live through.  However in life to experience the joys you also have to experience sorrow.  Our life is so full of joy and for that I am truly blessed and thankful.
